Spirit
The Petzl SPIRIT is a lightweight, non-locking carabiner built for sport climbing and working routes, with a standard size that keeps a strong weight-to-performance ratio.
Climbers use the Petzl SPIRIT to build quickdraws for the crag or multi-pitch routes: the straight gate version offers a firm grip for clipping and racking, while the bent gate version is shaped to speed up clipping the rope on lead. The Keylock nose resists snagging on a bolt hanger, gear loop or rope, and a flat spine gives a stable grip when pinch-clipping. The Petzl SPIRIT is a non-locking, sport-climbing carabiner and is not sold as a Petzl Professional connector.

Common questions
Is the SPIRIT carabiner locking or non-locking?
The Petzl SPIRIT is a non-locking carabiner with a Keylock gate, designed for quickdraws and sport climbing rather than as a locking connector for a fall-arrest system.
What is the SPIRIT carabiner rated for?
The Petzl SPIRIT is certified to CE EN 12275 type B and UIAA for climbing use; it does not carry an ANSI or CSA fall-protection connector rating on Petzl's Canadian site.
