Voltige

The Petzl VOLTIGE is an adjustable chest harness designed to be combined with a separate sit harness.

Climbers, canyoners and rope-access workers add the VOLTIGE to their existing sit harness to help stay upright while hanging or rappelling — useful whenever an inverted fall or an unconscious suspension is a real risk, such as on glacier travel, via ferrata, or during extended rope work. Two DOUBLEBACK buckles adjust the VOLTIGE at the shoulders, and a rear cross-over keeps the webbing straps correctly positioned on the body. Its reversible design lets the tie-in point sit on the shoulders or lower, under the arms, so the harness can be set to the height that keeps the wearer stable for the task at hand.
