(formerly Emergency First Aid & CPR)
Fast, focused, WSIB-recognized first-aid certification for smaller Ontario workplaces.
If you have five or fewer workers on a shift, WSIB Regulation 1101 requires a certified first-aid responder on site. This 6.5-hour course covers the essential lifesaving skills your team needs to meet that requirement and respond with confidence, and Siren Safety delivers it right here in Sudbury.
Naming update: As of June 22, 2026, WSIB aligned first-aid training with CSA Z1210:24 and renamed Emergency First Aid to Basic First Aid. The course is the same recognized certification under a new name; existing certificates remain valid until they expire.
Is this training required?
For many small workplaces, yes. Under WSIB Regulation 1101, any Ontario workplace with five or fewer workers on a shift must have at least one worker who holds a valid Basic First Aid certificate on site during working hours. This course meets that requirement. Certification is valid for three years, after which recertification is required.
