lezard-adjustable-lanyard
Lezard Adjustable Lanyard

The Petzl LEZARD Adjustable Lanyard is the replacement adjustable arm for the LEZARD helivac lanyard, sold as a standalone spare part for rescue teams already equipped with a LEZARD.

The LEZARD itself is specialized equipment built for helicopter-based rescue at height: it secures the drop-off and recovery phases of a helivac operation, with an adjustable arm that can be instantly ejected to free the victim, rescuer, and helicopter if the aircraft needs to leave its stationary position suddenly. That adjustable arm is the part most exposed to wear during a rescue operation, and Petzl sells it separately so aerial and helicopter rescue teams can replace it without buying a complete new LEZARD. Because the LEZARD is specialized helivac equipment, Petzl requires training through Petzl or a certified body before use, and that applies to servicing the system with this replacement arm as well.

Key features

Replacement adjustable arm for the LEZARD helivac lanyard

Uses the ADJUST rope adjuster mechanism, for quick, precise length adjustment

Sold individually as a maintenance spare part

Specifications

Weight: 250 g

Material(s): Aluminum, stainless steel, nylon, elastomer

Reference: L01100

Guarantee: 3 years

Works with

Petzl LEZARD (L01) helivac lanyard, for helicopter drop-off/recovery rescue operations at height

Common questions

What does the LEZARD Adjustable Lanyard replace?

The Petzl LEZARD Adjustable Lanyard (reference L01100) is the replacement for the adjustable, instantly-ejectable arm on the Petzl LEZARD helivac lanyard.

Who uses the LEZARD system?

The LEZARD is used by helicopter-based rescue teams to secure the drop-off and recovery phases of a helivac operation at altitude, and Petzl requires specific training through Petzl or a certified body before use.

Do I need training to fit or use this replacement arm?

Yes: because the LEZARD is specialized helivac rescue equipment, Petzl specifies that training through Petzl or a certified body is required, and that requirement extends to servicing the system with replacement parts like this arm.
