It is built for use as a vertical lifeline with the Petzl ASAP® or ASAP® LOCK mobile fall arrester in rope access, rescue, tower work, and industrial fall-arrest applications where a technician needs to move up and down a fixed line hands-free. The EverFlex construction of the base BEAM® 11 mm rope keeps it supple after exposure to water, dust, and mud, and its low elongation limits fall distance and keeps hauling efficient when the line is loaded.

Key features

Sewn eye termination at each end — no knots to tie or inspect on site

Nylon core with a polyester sheath that resists compression from repeated ASAP/ASAP LOCK travel

EverFlex construction stays flexible after exposure to water, dust, and mud

Available in five factory-cut lengths (references R101DA00 through R101DA04)

Specifications

Weight: 90 g per metre of rope (base BEAM® 11 mm construction; total weight depends on the length ordered)

Material(s): Polyester (sheath), nylon (core)

Certification(s): CE EN 1891 type A; ANSI Z359.15; NFPA 2500 (General Use); Cordage Institute 1801 (Low Stretch)

Works with

Petzl ASAP® — the compact mobile fall arrester rides this rope and locks onto it if a fall accelerates the user's descent.

Petzl ASAP® LOCK — the drop-resistant mobile fall arrester with a LOCK function uses the same 11 mm diameter and sewn-eye ends to anchor a complete vertical lifeline.

Common questions

What is a sewn termination and why does it matter?

A sewn termination is a factory-stitched eye at the rope end, made to a tested strength so installers do not need to tie and inspect a field knot before anchoring the rope.
